Fars Province is located in the southwest, north of the Isfahan and Yazd provinces, from the west to the provinces of Bushehr and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad, south to Hormozgan province and east to Kerman province.Based on the latest divisions of the country, Fars has 29 counties, 102 cities, 84 districts, 205 villages and 8369 semi-villages.The area of Fars province is 122 thousand square kilometers, which is equivalent to 7.5 percent of the country's total area.
